Getting here

The Arlberg Trail is designed as a circular route and can be started flexibly in St. Anton am Arlberg, Stuben, or Lech. For the best trail experience, we recommend hiking clockwise, as the route and cable car schedules are perfectly aligned in this direction.

Whether you travel by car, train, or plane, the Arlberg region is easy to reach and well connected to the international transport network.

Arriving by Car

The Arlberg region is easily accessible from Austria, Germany, and Switzerland.

Please note that a valid Austrian motorway vignette is required when using Austrian motorways. Vignettes are available at border crossings, petrol stations, and online.

Parking

Public parking is available in all three villages. Please note that parking is generally subject to a fee. Many accommodations also offer parking facilities for guests during their stay.

Arriving by Train

For a comfortable and sustainable journey, the Arlberg region is easily accessible by rail.

St. Anton am Arlberg

  • Several daily direct services from Vienna, Zurich, and Innsbruck
  • Railway station located in the village centre

Lech am Arlberg

  • Nearest railway station: Langen am Arlberg (approx. 15 km)
  • Alternative station: St. Anton am Arlberg (approx. 20 km)
  • Continue by public bus or taxi

Stuben am Arlberg

  • Nearest railway station: Langen am Arlberg (approx. 3 km)
